Owen Scott Muir, MD Is a dual board certified child and general psychiatrist with the American Board of psychiatry neurology, a magna cum laude graduate of amherst college, received his medical degree from the University of Rochester school of medicine and dentistry, completed his general psychiatry residency at the Donald and Barbara Zucker Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine general psychiatry residency program at Zucker Hillside Hospital, and completed his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship training at the NYU/Bellevue School of Medicine.
He is an award-winning journalist, having been granted the Rudin fellowship and ethics and humanities, and award-winning teacher with Kaplan, and has received numerous other awards, including grant funding through NIH for research into artificial intelligence and its intersection with psychiatric adverse events. At Acacia, he serves as the SVP of Strategy. Owen is the Director of service line development for child and adolescent psychiatry. He is also the Chief Medical Officer Acacia’s New York sister clinic, Fermata, an affiliate clinic of Acacia.
